Supervision & Consultation​


Monica Blum is known for her deeply relational and playful style that blends humor and creativity with the most current knowledge about relationships and trauma healing. She infuses this style as a supervisor and consultant to facilitate embodied learning and growth.

Monica runs the "Play and Somatics Supervision Group" for licensed professionals which integrates relational playful, body and movement-based practices with trauma approaches. In this didactic and experiential forum, she supports supervisees to safely experiment with playful, sensorimotor practices and the principles of : Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, Polyvagal Theory, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems, Structural Dissociation, mindfulness, Coherence Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, affective neuroscience, interpersonal neurobiology and spirituality-based approaches. Online meetings are monthly or twice a month. In-person groups may be available depending upon interest.

Monica also provides consultation and psychoeducation to individuals, parents, schools, community-based agencies, and organizations and designs creative programs and workshops to meet their specific needs.
